Dr. Krasuska, associate professor in the Decker School, grew up in Lublin Poland. She holds a master's degree in nursing from the Medical Academy there as well as a doctorate in cancer care from the Medical University of Lublin.


Krasuska received a fellowship at the National Cancer Institute in Bethesda, MD, in 1996, and worked at the School of Public Health in Maastricht, The Netherlands in 1994. She previously was associate professor, oncology and end-of-life care, and head of the World Health Organization collaborative center at Medical University of Lublin. She also is the Poland co-founder and first president of the Polish Oncology Nursing Society.

Krasuska's research interests include cancer care, oncology nursing, end-of-life care, complementary and alternative medicine, integrative oncology, philosophy of medicine and medical care, Ken Wilber's integral theory and shifting the medical pardigm toward an integral model of care.

Krasuska, the author of three books and several scientific publications, will teach Advanced Nursing Practicum (research methodology) at Binghamton.

She enjoys reading, writing, poetry, listening to music and walking. She and her husband, Will J. Eryk Webster, have a cat named Universe.
